End of the Year Favorite Moments: #8- Liam's Map overcomes a poor start to win the BC Dirt Mile

Note: Until the end of the year I will be counting down my top favorite moments from this year.

Most people thought that Liam's Map should have been in the Classic. After all, he did win the Woodward by an impressive margin and was a very good second in the Whitney. However with being undefeated at a mile and a deal with Lane's End done, it was decided that he would be Dirt Mile bound instead. His start to the race was poor, and that was not good in a field that included Lea, Wicked Strong, and Tapiture among others. However, his quick turn of foot in the stretch overcame those early problems and he won the race over Lea and Red Vine.

Liam will begin his stud career this winter at Lane's End with the horse who beat him in the Whitney... Honor Code and Cigar Mile winner Tonalist.
