January Betting Challenge Recap

Originally this was going to be a quarterly update, but since this was the first month that I did this, something should have been posted. Overall I was right in picking the winners of 6 races for a total of $28.40 for total earnings. I stayed pretty conservative picking some favorites and some that where second or third choice. As for how much I "bet" (since this was a mythical $2 wager), that was $52. Please note I came to this number due to the scratches since in real life WPS bets are refunded if a horse is scratched at the gate (as was in Dolphus' case, the others where scratched before the race but did not know that until after the race).

If my math is correct (and trust me it's not my forte), the return on investment (roi) was negative 45 percent. So not good, but since this was the first month of me trying this challenge out I'm okay with that.

Goals for Feb: Not focus on stakes races as much, have some more f/m races, and have at least 3 turf races (which I did in Jan).

The next update will be at the end of February.
