Borell Case Update: Chuck Borell arrested, charged

Yesterday 6 horses where removed from the farm where horses where found to be malnourished. Those horses reportedly belong to Maria Borell and her father Chuck. Today, Chuck Borell was arrested and charted with 43 counts of second degree animal cruelty. That is a misdemeanor in KY according the Bloodhorse article I linked and not a felony. Also according to Margaret Ransom of US Racing who wrote the original articles, there is this:

Also this broke a few days ago.

However with Chuck Borell in custody, maybe Maria will find her way down towards KY and turn herself in without resistance. It's a shame though these are just mistdemanors and not felonies.
