The 2015 2yo Champion Female Songbird picked up where she left off in thrashing the Las Virgenes Stakes today at Santa Anita. The Jerry Hollendorfer trainee lead gate to wire under Mike Smith for owner Fox Hill Farm. Land Over Sea was second and She's a Warrior finished in third.
The winner is by Medaglia d' Oro out of Ivanavinalot (West Acre). This is a similar cross to Medaglia's Horse of the Year champion Rachel Alexandra.
