The next few weeks

As the 3yo's start returning to the races, the next few weeks will be returning the spotlight on them. Of course the first major race of the summer is the CCAO which will feature not only Carnia Mia, but Songbird as well. At the end of the month it's the Jim Dandy and Haskell (which I'm thinking of going to), as well as the West Virginia Derby. This will all lead up to August's Alabama and Travers.

On the older horse front not sure if Beholder is pointing towards the Pacific Classic again or if she'll stay against the females until the Breeders' Cup. California Chrome will be returning in that race that is sure to have Melatonin, Hoppertunity and Hard Aces as well.

The Arlington Million could be a good race if all the major players show up. Not sure if Catch a Glimpse is heading to Arlington, but it would be interesting if she where to go in either the Secretariat or the Beverly D. If not her... then maybe Lexie Lou in the latter? Their stablemate Tepin is expected to face the males in the Fourstardave.

Finally it's Del Mar opening day, which means... Saratoga is just around the corner.

It's going to be a fun summer indeed.
