New Stallions of 2016 (International)

Last week, I posted a list of stallions who will be standing their first seasons next year in the US. Today's list is the same thing, except all of these horses will be standing overseas (Canada included).

Gleneagles (IRE) (Galileo (IRE)): The English and Irish 2000 Guineas winner, also won the St James Palace at Royal Ascot this year. As a 2yo, he won the National Stakes in Ireland. Not only is he by a legendary stallion (who is out of a wonderful racer/broodmare), but his dam is a full sister to Giant's Causeway. He'll be standing at Coolmore Ireland.

Golden Horn (GB) (Cape Cross (IRE)): While American Pharoah was the king of America, this guy was the Emperor of Europe. Not only did he win the Epsom Derby, but the Irish Champion and Eclipse as well. His crowning achievement though was defeating Treve in the Arc. His lone two losses where in to females in the International and BC Turf. Cartier 3yo Champion and Horse of the Year in Europe, he'll be standing at Dalham Hall Stud (Darley).

Outstrip (IRE) (Exceed and Excel (AUS): BC Juvenile Turf winner was 3rd in the St. James Palace last year at 3. Out of a G1 winner in the US. Will be standing at Dalham Hall Stud (Darley).

Silver Max (Badge of Silver): Winner of both the American Turf and VA Derby, his biggest win was on poly when he beat Wise Dan in the off the turf Shadwell Mile. Picked up a win this year in the Firecracker. Will be standing at Adena Springs North.
